What is the Peach in the Bag?
It is a particular hard-pulp peach that is cultivated only in Leonforte, Sicily. In June, when the peaches are the size of an almond, we put a special paper bag on every peach on the tree, thus avoiding the massive use of insecticides. Moreover, thanks to the paper bags we can leave the peaches on the tree until they are fully ripe and perfectly sweet, thus offering our customers the flavour of long ago.
How do we make peaches in syrup?
The peaches grow in the farm orchards and are processed in the farm’s processing laboratory just after being gathered. The peaches are peeled by hand to preserve the taste, the sweetness and the consistency of the fresh fruit. We use no chemical products and do not add preservatives.
