The Leonforte Peach PGI, is a percoca variety, yellow with a firm pulp, characteristic of the area of Enna and some of the neighbouring communities.
An interesting and well-known fact is the practice of bagging the fruit while still on the tree. This process protects the peaches from parasites thus avoiding the use of pesticides. Leonforte Peaches ripen from August to October and are sold in quality supermarket chains.
The Samperi Farm is a member of the Valle di Crisa Association.
